Vision Statement

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Leavell College prepare servants to walk with Christ, proclaim His truth, and fulfill His mission.

Core Value Focus

Doctrinal Integrity -- Believing that the Bible is the Word of God, we believe it, teach it, proclaim it, and submit our lives to it. Our confessional commitments are outlined in the Articles of Religious Belief and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Spiritual Vitality -- We are a worshiping community emphasizing both personal spirituality and gathering together as a Seminary family for the praise and adoration of God and instruction in His Word.

Mission Focus -- Our Seminary does not exist merely to get an education or to give an education. We are here to change the world by fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandments through the local church and its ministries.

Characteristic Excellence -- We want everything we do to be characterized by offering the utmost of our abilities and resources as a testimony to the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Servant Leadership -- We follow the model of Jesus to exert leadership through nurturing and encouraging those around us.

For 2019-2020 academic year that Core Value is Spiritual Vitality.

Seven Ministry Competencies:

1. Biblical Exposition

2. Christina Theological Heritage

3. Disciple Making

4. Interpersonal Skills

5. Servant Leadership

Each delivery system has a different tuition rate; therefore, registration must occur through separate registration windows. You may register online during orientation or register online at home using the instruction sheet. Failure to register and pay by the Final Day for Tuition Payment incurs an additional $120 late registration fee to your student account.

Library

The NGA Library is located in Groups Building of Cross Pointe Church on 2nd floor. The library hours adjust each semester to accommodate when the majority of students are on campus, usually Monday through Thursday. The library hours appear in the NGA Gatekeeper and on the building window by the entrance. Currently, wireless internet is available in the NGA library. The Xerox fee is 10 cents per copy.

Academic Counseling

On Mondays, NGA faculty and staff are available throughout the day in CONFERENCE ROOM in second floor of Groups building of Cross Pointe Church. You also can reach the NGA faculty and staff by visiting the offices or calling 770-321-1606, or emailing. The email addresses can be accessed at the North Georgia Extension Center web page

Students should consult their academic advisor during every registration period and before adding, dropping, or withdrawing from a class.

Students should be sure to update their academic advisor immediately upon any change in the degree, specialization, or concentration they are seeking from the Seminary in order that their degree plan can be updated and to assure they make progress toward graduation without delay.
Please feel free to call or stop by the Registrar’s Office to request academic counseling.

Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office in New Orleans makes an online grant application available September 1 - 30 and April 1 - 30 for students to apply for scholarships visit the NOBTS Financial Aid page to apply. Each student is responsible for completing the online application during September to be considered for spring semester scholarships and during April to be considered for fall semester scholarships. Typically, the Financial Aid staff will mail a letter or send an e-mail indicating if you have received funds. The funds are credited to the student account in the Business Office. No funds are issued directly to the student, but to the student’s NOBTS account.
